20 months today!!!!

I can't believe we have hit the 20-month mark. Where did my little babies go??? I have these "little ladies" running around now. It is getting to be more and more challenging to get them all together, look the same way & take a picture!!!! So Rayne got one of herself.

THe girls worked together to knock over the play-refrigerator to get the boxes of snacks down. Isn't it nice to know they can work & play together so well! (ahahhah!). They then proceeded to scatter them ALL over the place! Yes, those are chocalate crackers on a beige carpet. Not even Stanley Steemer can help this carpet anymore.
Oh, thank God Lucy you are here. You are so great at cleaning up our messes. What did we do without you!!! Hey, maybe the "mama" won't notice!!!!! (yeah, right!) Skye has almost mastered blowing her nose. We have been living in the land of "Snotville" since last weekend. All of the girls & me have been battling it. They now run if they see me with a tissue, but they love to run up to me and do it themselves. I will only say, it is still a work in progress.

Here is a picture of the girls exactly a year ago! They were so cute! And you could actually put them down, go to the bathroom, and they would still be within 2 feet of where you left them! Ahhhh, those sweet moments!

And this was Beau and I, 2 years ago, in Scottsdale, AZ. We had gone to meet Dr. Elliot, the "quad god", and decided that we would go there to have the girls. That's right, we had "destination delivery".
When we found out we were pregnant with quads, we were STRONGLY encouraged to reduce. After meeting one doctor locally (we still refer to him as Dr. Gloom & Doom) and talking online & on the phone with so many quad-moms around the country, we learned of Dr. Elliot and his team. The next we had a phone conference with him, the next in person and by week 19, Beau & I were living in a one-bedroom furnished apt. in Phoenix, AZ. It was the best decision ever. We were the 82nd set of quads born to PPA & Dr. Elliot.
I was just 12 weeks pregnant here! We were so young, innocent, and well rested.

Featuring MISO Pottery by Noni!

If you live in the Houston/Katy area and are free this Sunday, I invite you to go to a wonderful art showing/gallery!!!!
My mom, Sony Hartley (aka Noni) and her friend & artist Marissa are hosting this gallery opening. There will be several other artists also showing their work. I am just so proud of my mom for following her dream and her amazing artistic creations. She put much of this on the back burner while raising me & my brothers and is now free to do them all. And if you are in the area, she also teaches knitting at Yarntopia and is the MOST patient teacher you will ever have. These were some of her creations that the girls are wearing. In the flyer her work
Have a great show Noni! We love you!

First Annual Wine-Making Festival!!!!

Yep!The girls were the star attraction at the Wine-making Festival at Chez Pop-Pop. The girls were in charge of mashing the grapes and, as you can tell, they were quite good at it! (ok, so it will be a work in progress, but it was fun!). My Dad has grown some grapes in his backyard and decided to make wine with them and who better to prepare the grapes for turning them into wine?! Of course the feet had to be cleaned........

ooh, that feels nice Dada! Don't forget the little toe! Are you going to paint my toes too? I think I want Hot Pink this time!

The grapes!
Skye &Rayne are the first to start stomping!
Are you sure we should be doing this?
Seriously? Do you know what this feels like? Is this just so you can have some pictures for the blog? (why, yes!) And I have to wait 20years before I can even get a sip of the wine? (why, yes! But that is assuming there will still be some left....)
JuJu showing them how it is really done.

The Princesses of the Round Table convene to discuss and review the days events. "Next year we will have to have better pedicures before stomping on the grapes especially if they insists on taking pictures! Ok, now for the next plan of attack!

I know! I know!!!!!!! First, I'll create a distraction of some sort and then ya'll can.......
Oops....... I don't think the plan is working. We're busted!
Hmmmm, what is this white, creamy, sweet stuff? I must have more!
OH! Straight from the can is definitely the best! THANKS Noni!!!!
Darn, I really wanted the comics! And why is Fox news on again? I know I requested the Elmo be played 24/7!!!
I miss Pop-Pop & Noni!!!!
She has whipped cream and M&M's, not all this "healthy" stuff. Ugh!

WOW!!!!!

WOW!!!!! It is the favorite word of the day/week for the girls. And once it is said, it is then said a 100x's X 4!! There have been a few "WOW's!" this last week that I can't wait to share!
First and most importantly, JuJu took 2 steps!!!!!!! (and not just once, repeatedly!!) She is still working on her balance and confidence, but it is sooooo close! Her sisters will truly be in trouble now. And for other JuJu news, we say the hearing specialist yesterday. By the looks of her last hearing test and with how well she is doing..........he talked about the possiblity of not even needing the hearing aides!!!!!! Wahoo & WOW!!!! Last year at this time we were discussing cochlear implants and now they are talking about not needing anything!!!! She is such our miracle baby. Again I thank-you, I thank-you and again, I thank-you for all of you who prayed for her. There were several times we weren't sure she would even come home with us from the hospital and now..... as the girls say "WOW"!!!!!!
For our second "Wow", but not as big as the first, I took Rayne & Skye down to Katy, TX while Beau stayed home with JuJu and River. This is the first time the girls have been seperated like this. They did great! JuJu walked for Dada and River took care of him. :) Rayne and Skye got introduced to MnM's and McDonald Happy Meals! Skye even did alittle skinny dippin'. It was a great trip. Though I have to say, if anyone knows of some good bathrooms along 45 between Dallas & Houston, I would love to know! Everyone was happy to be back together, but Beau and I both did enjoy getting alittle more one on one time with the girls. Next time we will switch out.

Emily painted our toes for us!(well, the girls anyway) This has helped alot in them now knowing what toes are. Before you ask, they were all well secured in their high-chairs eating lunch when she did it. She is so smart!!!!
And lastly, I finally decided to be brave and have a "wow" day with the girls! I hitched up the stroller ( some refer to it as the beast, Beau calls it the "Bat-mobile")and the girls and I went to Target & to the grocery store. We had a really good time, no melt-downs, and lots of comments. I was glad that 99% of them were very nice comments and the one I heard that wasn't, was not directed to us but to whoever they were on the phone with. Now back to the word "WOW!". The girls said it everytime we rounded a corner or they saw something cool. Rayne told everyone we passed "bye, bye" and River & JuJu kept saying "uh-oh". Skye just pointed to everything and said "more?". Of course all of this is going on while I pushes the stroller and pulld the cart. My big "WOW!" was I didn't hit anyone or anything with either the cart or the stroller. Though, people did give us alot of space!
I will try and get some more pics & video up later, but thought I would let you know of all of the fun going on here!
