Happy Birthday Uncle Jer

Happy Birthday Uncle Jer! Yep, my baby brother is 29! He is getting sooooo old! HA! I hope you had a great day Jer!

I do ask for anyone reading, that you keep TX & LA in your prayers with IKE. Much of our family and many of our friends are either in the Houston area or the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area. The storm surge in the New Orleans area has been alot and my brother says a tornado went over Kenner (not sure if it touched down all the way). Houston (at this point) hasn't had much rain, but ALOT of wind. We are suppose to feel the effects here tomorrow sometime, but obviously nothing like in the south part of TX. And for all of my blogging friends down there, I'm saying prayers for all of you too! Goerlich quads, you have an open invitation to a home that is quad-proof. Wells' girls, ya'll too!

I do have alot of pics of the girls and new stories but I'll have to catch up more later. Our internet was down for a few days, and I'm still playing catch up. Suffice it to say, the girls are starting the "terrible" two's a few months early!

Playing outside on a Saturday

Saturday in the yard....

The weather was finally nice enough to set up the outdoor play equipment and let the girls loose. They were having an absolute fit watching us get it ready to let them out of the house. They played with the new toys for about a minute, but the true star of the show, were my left over rocks and some empty ceramic pots. Rayne had the best time walking around with them. River & Skye enjoyed stacking & sorting them. I was amazed we only lost 3 of them. The other toy that seemed to keep their interest was the broom. They truly spent more time finding and playing (or trying to play) with everything that was somewhat dangerous for a 21month old. Are you surpised? I'm not. Enjoy the pics. I'll try and get some video up too.

Happy Anniversery Honey!!! and Happy Birthday Pop-Pop & Aunt Terry

Today's is Beau & I's 4th anniversery. Four years & four girls! WOW! Who knew a blind date could work out so well!
Also Happy birthday to Pop-pop & Aunt Terry! Yes, I got married on my Dad's birthday who is a twin with my Aunt Terry. Wasn't that some foreshadowing. I just didn't know I was getting 2 sets of twins at the same time. Hehehehehehe.
I will try to post some more pics later. Of course, I can't find one of Beau & I together on our wedding day on my computer.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Tuesday morning and the weekend update.

This is what alot of my days/mornings look like. Me trying to corral the masses and keeping them happy, entertained, educated, and hopefully not tearing the house down! Today, Elmo was the star of the show. Uucy, I mean Lucy, was even getting into Elmo (though the girls call him "Memmo"). This is also a rare shot of all of the "women" in the house together. Poor Beau, even the dog is a girl. Since hurting my back last week, the girls and I have been doing lots of reading and learning signs and new words. I owe alot of thanks to Beau, Emily, Ms. Doris, and Aunt Liz for doing all of the lifting of the girls while I tried to just get up! I'm finally myself again after a week. I have to say I have some amazing people in my life, esp my hubby!
For Labor Day we went over to William & Liz's and played in the pool for hours. The girls loved it. River got Daddy all to herself and Skye got mommy! Rayne had a great time with Aunt Liz, while JuJu had a blast with Uncle William. They especially enjoyed all of the tortilla chips & chocolate ice cream. My Girls LOVE chocolate! THere is very little sharing with that and I am serious when I say they "take no prisoners!".
As for Gustav, all of my family in LA are doing ok. Most got out, and the ones who live north of Baton Rouge, still have power outtages, but all are ok. YEAH!!!!! My poor brother is still in a Fema trailor and only weeks away from getting back into his house when Gustav decided to come play. Needless to say we are all very happy. If you get a chance go to the Tubre Quads site, she has some video of Gustav as they are in the Baton Rouge area.
And to add to our new words & sayings: "see u soon", "wha happened?" "g'mornin", "me too", the humming of "twinkle, twinkle". They are also starting to repeat everything you say, but these have been consistent.

Ms. Emily with all of the girls. Skye was telling her a fabulous story while Rayne & JuJu tried to steal the "toy d'jour".
Seriously, Ms. Emily, don't you believe us?

Seriously???
I thought you said noone was going to see me in this "Texas" outfit! I bleed Purple & Gold! Well, if it is for Dada, then it is ok. But, ONLY for Dada!

Pillow pile-up and all 4 in one spot!
Rayne-Rayne after stealing the best pillow. Not a hair out of place either!
Peek-a-boo!

A very site, a calm, serene Skye! It does happen. Doesn't she look so sweet and angelic?
Yep, Noni, the hats still fit! It goes great with the bathing suit cover-up, don't ya think??
