Tuesday Adventures

I hope everyone has been enjoying the videos! The girls and I can't wait for Beau's return home this Saturday. It sure seems alot longer than just 10days. The girls have still been fighting their cold/sinus stuff. I thought we were over it, but on Saturday it returned. I'm not sure who is more tired of the runny noses, me or the girls! They now run when they see a tissue headed their way. We did take advantage of the nice weather today and went outside after nap. The morning was very busy with ECI for JuJu and then a wonderful visit with my Aunt Joy and cousin Dana. We also celebrated belated birthday for Dana. Happy Birthday!!!! JuJu showed off a bit this morning for Lisa, her PT and for everyone else. She is walking almost 60% of the time and each day it is alittle more and alittle less looking like a drunken sailor. Well, its true, she does look a bit like a drunken sailor when she is walking!
Today we tried something new. Scary! I put some pics of it too up. I have been inspired by a few of my blog buddies and I took all four girls out front and we walked to the mailbox! I was trying out their backpack leashes. And I would say for our 4minute outing (which felt like 4 hours) and going 30feet, it was a complete success! Rayne was quick to inform when to go "i-side". This will take a bit more practice before it is perfected, but there was no major screaming, no injuries, and we all got back inside!
Now some updated funnies on the girls. River has become the enforcer! She is my mini-me. I have caught her on several occasions now reprimanding Skye for not behaving. Skye LOVES to climb out of her hi-chair. So the other day before I could turn around, I hear "Skye, down, down, skye!". Of course River got the same look that I get and about the same response- a smirk and not much else. Then at Little Gym, she started telling some of the other kids (not her sisters), that they needed to "come on". She was attempting to herd them to circle time. She then fussed at me when I apparently didn't move fast enought to leave at the end of our time either. Hence, she is now referred to as the enforcer or Miss Bossy. I have NO clue where that could come from!!!! ( Don't choke on your coffee Noni!)
Rayne continues to sing her little heart out and count to three as jumps off the couch. She LOVES pillow pile up. As I mentioned earlier that she lets you know when she wants to go in, she also will be the one to announce "night, night" when it is time to go to bed. She then gathers all her "stuff" for the night and heads down the hall and stands in front of her bed waiting for you to put her in. And her new words that she loves to say are sorry & Monet.
JuJu. Well, she is just walking up a storm and determined to keep up with her sisters. She has also gotten quite fiesty about owning mama's lap. She will push whoever is sitting in my lap out or wiggle her way in until she is the one sitting there. I have even watched her pull on someone's arm to make them loose their balance and then take advantage of the moment. Isn't nice to be so in demand?!?!?!
Skye other than being kept in line by her older sister (a full 3, possibly 5, minutes older) has become mommy's helper. She loves to help pick up the pillows at the end of the day. She also has gotten really good at dressing herself (and undressing). Her new thing is knowing her colors. We color coded the girls in the NICU to make life easy. I learned this from other quad moms before me. So anyway, Skye will now pick something up and depending on the color will say it is so & so's. Anything green, she say's River; pink, Rayne-Rayne, and yellow JuJu. It is so cute to see. I just don't know if that will count in Kindergarten.
Well enough of that, here are some pics from today and their is a video of the girls outside.
River inspecting the wind chimes.
JuJu contemplating her next move.
Rayne trying to get inside before the windchimes sound off again. For some reason, she really doesn't like the outside ones.
Skye modeling the new backpack.
Our brave new adventure! Going to get the mail! Or actually junk mail and lots of sale ads.
No, you go first! No, you! I know, JuJu will! Will follow her.
Ha, I'm in the lead! I'm first!
Suckers! I'm going back in and getting all of the cookies before anyone else!
Hey! Why are you holding that? What do you mean I can't go more than 3 feet from you! This was a trick! I thought we got free reign out here! What happened to home of the free?
A rare moment with everyone getting along and sharing mommy's lap! River is also modeling her new shirt from Aunt Joy & Dana. Thank-you, the outfits are soooo cute!
Check back soon! Tomorrow may be a HUGE adventure, with some great photo opportunities!!!!!

JuJu: Our 'walking' miracle!!!!

Wednesday

Thanks to all of you who have commented. The girls are starting to feel better and so am I. I'm glad ya'll have enjoyed the videos too. It has been kind of nice too having 3 quiet days in a row. I have had a chance to see how much the girls are growing and pretend playing now.
River is my little Mini-me. She even corrects Skye when I'm not looking and will inform you as to who has the "stinkey". (Note to self: don't do anything you don't want anyone to know when she is around!) She has become very attached to a stuffed bear that was actually mine as a kid. Today, she went and handed the other girls their blankets and made sure they all had their color too! She will also inform you when the sippy cups are empty by shaking them and going " emp-ee"
Rayne is still my laid back cutie. She is also becoming a pack-rat. As Beau says, her hands are NEVER empty. She gathers everything when she goes to another room. Her crib is loaded with stuff, which she takes with her every morning. She LOVES to sing. You can listen to her in the middle of the night sing and talk to her sisters if they wake up & cry during the night. She also LOVES to dance and jump!
JuJu continues to amaze and scare me (and everyone else) daily. Today she practiced walking all day and climbed on top of the blue reclining chair. Usually Daddy is there for support, but she decided not to wait till he got home. Like Rayne, she loves to jump in her bed. She also is trying to keep up with her sisters and dance. And, she will point out all of the flowers for you.
Skye is becoming very independent. She has to put her own clothes on and ALL of them! Since she hasn't figured out how to put a shirt on, she puts them on just like her pants. The funny part is when she tries to walk with all of it on. Her favorite word is "NO", her favorite game is jumping off the couch, and her favorite part of the day is streaking thru the house after bath!
All four together!
Mmmm.... this cookie is good!
I wonder if Lucy's water is better than ours?
Just because she is so cute!
So who had the real designer purse? And where can I get a good deal on a Dolce & Gabbana?
River has become very maternal these last few days. Besides taking care of "Bear", she is also becoming the Mini-Mom. She seems to really enjoy correcting Skye!

I'm calling you Daddy! Now what is that international code again?

Monday morning sniff, sniff, sniff, cough, cough, cough

The title says it all!!!!
Beau is not out of town 48hrs & I have 4 sick kiddos. Sneezing, coughing, running nose & fever. Luckily, they haven't been too crabby, but I will say the patience & tolerance level is very low! Since the girls are sick, we cancelled all of our plans today. It was going to be a fun filled day of outings. Instead, we stayed inside and chilled out, watched TV, jumped in beds & off the couch. But little to no nap. (Mommy thinks we will sleep tonight. Hmmmm, we'll see!)

Rayne & Skye resting & watching tv.

Skye & Rayne at 2months old. They have grown alot in 20months!

Oil is how much a barrel?
Yeah, but can you believe what that announcer is wearing???? Now that is truly shocking!!!!

We miss you Daddy! Mommy is doing a good job, but she is still on the kick of no more bottles. And you're more fun to watch Elmo with. JuJu agrees. Be careful & come home soon! Skye & Rayne say hi too. Love you!

A Day In the Life of Us

Hi Dada!

For the next 2 weeks the blog will be for Beau as he travels around the world, LITERALLY! I can only say I'm so glad that technology is what it is today. So Honey, this is for you. I miss you & love you!
The girls must have known something was up all week. Of course, Beau, you are not even to the airport when River's nose became a faucet fully opened and Skye starts hacking a lung. I'm crossing my fingers its allergies. If not it will be a very LONG 2weeks.
I'm ready to go Daddy! We're traveling 1st class, right?!

He can't leave without me if I block the door! And the man coming to take him can't get in if I don't move!
I'm taking care of your chair for you Daddy. I won't let JuJu break it. I miss you! Mommy is threatening to take away our bottles. Please don't be long. No telling what other craziness she may come up with!

We decided to move Pillow Pile-up to the hallway. Rayne is making it leisure time though. As you can tell, Skye & JuJu are planning an attack. River is commanding from the back.
She who has the most rocks WINS!!!!
I have no idea how this one came to be, but River somehow got the dog leash around her waist. Skye then grabbed the leash and starting pulling her around. This will be a fun picture to torture them with as they get older, don't ya think!?!?!

Geaux Tigers!!!! LSU 26, Auburn 21!!!!
Yeah!!!!!!!!
Oh, yeah, your team won too! TEXAS 52, Rice 10

They're 22 months and LOTS of pics!

Oh, there is so much to catch up on! First, all of my family has made it thru IKE relatively unscathed, hallelueh! Beau's sister is still without power and a few fences have been lost. Otherwise, all is well! YEAH! My prayers continue to go out to everyone else affected by this storms and especially to all of the emergency responders rescue teams!!!
I loaded up some videos of the girls so I hope you enjoy them. The one of Skye sums up a few of the days we have had! The other is of them playing. And someone asked me about the ballpit: YES, they still play with it everyday and still LOVE it!!! Worth every penny! (it is from Eezy Peezy). The girls are getting so chatty and independent. Skye is definitely letting us know ALL about her wants. River has decided she is an adult. Rayne will sing her way thru life and lull you into a false sense of security as she robs you blind! JuJu took 26 steps the other day and her favorite words continue to be Elmo (memmo) & Dada!
The girls have started Kindermusik and it is wonderful! The girls are really starting to get the concept of circle time and participating and follow some directions (or at least the ones they like). Rayne usually takes advantage of this time to check out everyone's purses & shoes. We almost had a riot the first day because she was determined to take someone else's shoes. She did not want to let go! She wanted the designer Crocs and wanted nothing to do with her Target specials. Isn't this suppose to start like 12 years later???? AHAHAHAHHA!!!!
One thing Rayne is not shy or subtle about~ chocolate! I had some chocolate cookies the other day for the girls and Skye wasn't sure about taking the cookie from me or tasting it. She finally was going to, had her mouth open, cookie only millimeters away, and at the last .1 second, Rayne comes out of nowhere and grabs the cookie! Skye's face was hysterical, she didn't know if she was suppose to cry or get mad. I thought this may have been a fluke, but based on the continuing stealth like mission to get all of the cookies, I realized I have a serious chocolate addict on my hands. Sound familiar NONI!
Uh-oh! Busted! I swear it was her idea!

Oh, the many things you can do with a head band! Don't you wish your waist was that small??
Chillin' after a rowdy game of "pillow pile-up"!
Hey, You want in this action? I'll see your cracker & raise you 2 crackers with cheese! Oooohhhhh!!!!!!!
Too many things could be written here! One, she obviously lost the cracker-poker game. Two, the beginning of a new college drinking game. Three, just because!
This was them just a year ago!

Because somtimes, it is just one of those days!!!!

Playtime In or out!

Happy Birthday Uncle Jer

Happy Birthday Uncle Jer! Yep, my baby brother is 29! He is getting sooooo old! HA! I hope you had a great day Jer!

I do ask for anyone reading, that you keep TX & LA in your prayers with IKE. Much of our family and many of our friends are either in the Houston area or the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area. The storm surge in the New Orleans area has been alot and my brother says a tornado went over Kenner (not sure if it touched down all the way). Houston (at this point) hasn't had much rain, but ALOT of wind. We are suppose to feel the effects here tomorrow sometime, but obviously nothing like in the south part of TX. And for all of my blogging friends down there, I'm saying prayers for all of you too! Goerlich quads, you have an open invitation to a home that is quad-proof. Wells' girls, ya'll too!

I do have alot of pics of the girls and new stories but I'll have to catch up more later. Our internet was down for a few days, and I'm still playing catch up. Suffice it to say, the girls are starting the "terrible" two's a few months early!

Playing outside on a Saturday

Saturday in the yard....

The weather was finally nice enough to set up the outdoor play equipment and let the girls loose. They were having an absolute fit watching us get it ready to let them out of the house. They played with the new toys for about a minute, but the true star of the show, were my left over rocks and some empty ceramic pots. Rayne had the best time walking around with them. River & Skye enjoyed stacking & sorting them. I was amazed we only lost 3 of them. The other toy that seemed to keep their interest was the broom. They truly spent more time finding and playing (or trying to play) with everything that was somewhat dangerous for a 21month old. Are you surpised? I'm not. Enjoy the pics. I'll try and get some video up too.
